Eligibility 

• All high school juniors and seniors residing in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Ohio and West Virginia are eligible.  

• All student artists are either a high school junior or senior during the 2025 - 2026 academic year.  

• Two and three dimensional work are eligible. Work requiring assembly, electronic equipment, or electric is not eligible.  

Submissions 

• There is a $10 entry fee per entry.  

• All entries must be made through artcall.org 

• This year there is no limit to the number of submissions made by one school. But each high school junior and senior may only submit one entry

• All submitted artwork must have been completed with-in the last year (since October 2, 2024).   

Categories 

• The following categories are eligible for this exhibition: Ceramic & Glass, Design, Digital Art, Drawing, Jewelry, Mixed Media, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, and Sculpture.  A description of each category is found at the end of the Terms and Conditions page. 

Size Limitations 

• Two dimensional work (the picture plane) may not exceed 144 square inches. Presentation / outside dimensions if mounted, matted, and or framed, may not exceed 324 square inches.

• Three dimensional work may not exceed 12” (Height) x 12” (Width) x 12” (Depth); including the base or supporting plane. 

• Art work that does not fit within the exhibit size limitations will be disqualified. 

Assembly 

• All work must be ready for exhibition. 
   
  Two dimensional work unframed will be attached to the gallery wall using white, front mounting, clips or double sided tape attached to the back. Unframed two dimensional work should have a matt and backing board or an appropriate mount. 
   
  All framed work must have a braided hanging wire. Work requiring assembly, two or three dimensional, is not eligible. 

• Fragile work is submitted at the artist’s risk. While all attempts will be make to handle each entry with extreme care, neither the Kauffman Gallery nor its staff will be responsible for damage to fragile art work. 

Entry Regulations 

• Work must have been produced between October 2, 2024 and January 7, 2026. The judges will reject work that does not conform to the image submitted. 

• If the work is not for sale, give a value - followed by NFS. Value on submission may not be changed. The Kauffman Gallery will not take a commission on sales from this exhibition. 

• The Kauffman Gallery and Shippensburg University reserves the right to photograph works for publicity and future advertising purposes. 

• Entry in the exhibition will constitute agreement to the terms and conditions described herein. 

Awards 

• $500.00 in awards will be given by Shippensburg University; Best of Exhibit - $300.00, Second Place - $150.00, Third Place - $50.00. Honorable Mentioned and participation certificates will be awarded at the conclusion of the exhibition. 

Judges & Awards Committee 

• The Judges will select the exhibition by viewing entries online. The Awards Committee will select award winners from the actual art work; or if necessary, from online submissions. 

Exhibition Judge 

•  Shippensburg University’s Kauffman Gallery is please to invite artist Marissa Tawney Thaler of Lansing, MI to jury the exhibition. Marissa Tawney Thaler of Lansing, MI holds a BFA from Kendall College of Art and Design, where she studied Art Education and Illustration. During her decade-long career in public school, she joined 4th Culture Artist Community, later founding and running Briarwood Art Collective. In the fall of 2018, Marissa left teaching to pursue a career as a freelance illustrator, developing the origami-inspired series, “Drawing Folded Paper,” illustrating children’s books, and completing murals in Lansing and Mason, MI, as well as Baltimore, MD. She has had the opportunity to jury for The Arts Council of Greater Lansing, MSU Federal Credit Union, and The Lansing Art Gallery, and most recently is running the art program for Refugee Development Center through REACH Studio Art. You can learn more about Marissa and her impressive art career here: www.tawneythaler.com

Awards Committee 

• The exhibition Awards Committee is composed of the Shippensburg University Art & Design faculty. 

Accepted Entries 

• Accepted entries MUST have a Submission Receipt and Submission label attached to the art work; exhibitors should save the Claim Ticket for pick up at the end of the exhibition. Accepted entries without a Submission Receipt and label attached to the art work will be disqualified. 

• Accepted entries can be hand delivered or shipped.
